Success is Un-American
(ok not really – just a set up – but-)
Think about it: -
America – the great Empire is about technology and science and facts and getting things done the good old fashioned way, and just goddarn good old common sense.
But ‘Success’, the actions required to produce this ‘thing’ from nothing other than you mind is…well…weird.Its ignores facts and common sense – its…a leap into …
To create success in your life, yes you need a plan and a goal and – well go here for the basics – the work effort is no different from anything else that requires effort. But to become ‘successful’ in your world (whatever that is) requires a leap into something that is not brain power or facts or technology or even….truly teachable. (Hey its Zen)- maybe.

Most people just dont do it.
Because…
Because you cant teach a leap of faith – you can only express it.
Because for you and me to launch into something we dont have that requires a change of level in our lives (if you will it) requires…belief, or as Tony Robbins says – certainty. Belief and certainty about…what?
Belief and cerainty that its done, accomplished, a fact, before its a fact. Done before you start. If you dont see if when its not here – you cant get there.
And as Tony Robbins says, the activity, the turning the switch is done in a nano second, one second (or one nano) your average – the next in you mind (not your brain, not your kidney, not your heart, not you feet, but this thing that cannot be measured your mind) – in your mind your done, its there,.Its accomplished. See it to believe it (when it doest exist).
That is well like..religion isnt it? Faith is the believe in things not evident. Its Zen, one hand clapping, when you have no hands. The sound of starlight. The color of a heartbeat..
To create success, you cant just want it, you cant just buy it, you cant just have all the facts – you must propel ‘you’ (not the physical you, this other you. Not even the one thats syas in your head ‘ You cant do that’- it means (the ego is speaking) I the ego cant do that – so you cant do that.
But you can. I can. We can.
All it is is a switch that doesnt exist turning somewhere you cant find.
Its creating certainty when all the evidence points to doubt and failure.
Its reality when ther are no facts.
Its a belief in you who doesn’t at that time exist.
Now that’s not scientific, that doesn’t show on the scan, that isn’t good ole hard work and prayer – that just down right unamerican boy – its fureign.
But of course thats how Nations are made great, thats how you are made great.
The Manhattan Project was created and competed against all odds. The mono landing in started and completed in les than 10 years. Frank Kern making 2,500 bucks the first time, the four minute mile, the first 500 pound bench press, Jimi Hendrix guitar solos, Beethoven’s symphonies (after the first two) – no-one expected that reality to materialise, because they all required an absolutel belief , by an individual, that it could be done when all the ‘evidence’ said not only it couldn’t be done – but YOU especially couldn’t do it.
So in short and to sum up, ladies and gentlen of the jury I submit…
To create success (whatever that means to you) in your life, does not require skill you dont have or talent you think you will never possess or money or time. It requires (and only requires) your mind to believe it has created that successful event NOW and then all the rest is just work.
So success is open to all. Pick a dream. Its yours. When you learn to work the magic you have inside you.
