Putting Value in your Brand

Even if we knew what that meant – we wouldn’t know how to do it would we?e-brand-img

I didn’t know I was a Brand.

Did you?

And where does a guy get value these days – at that Value store perhaps?

But thats what we are told – market the brand – and put value in the ‘brand’.

Ok how about this:

Lets presume ‘they’ mean you and I (individually, not collectively) are the ‘brand’ (we’re talking about marketing here- follow me on this).

And lets presume when we market stuff on the Internet, we (you and I – again not collectively, but each to our own) represent that which is marketed. If the product sucks – the ‘suckness’ reflects back. If the content is cheap and tawdry ( what? – hey! I’m doing the best I can here) then the tawdry flows back to the tawdry-giver.

So it behooves (see – no tawdry here) I say again – behooves us to put as much value into the ‘thing’ we are offering up as possible, as 1) it reflects us, and 2) Value sells – like crazy.

In small business – whatever it is – the business always reflects the owner. The method of business, the efficiency of the business, the perception of the business – is always the perception of the owner. And in large business – the corporation its ‘image’ its’brand’ is unto itself. Coca cola is not a CEO, ‘Tide” is not a person. The corporation is the Brand. In small business – in fact there is no ‘brand’ – its just YOU.

Mass Control reflects Frank Kern, Eban Pagan – no matter what he sells its always an ‘Eban Pagan” product. John Reese – well is always John Reese – whether its Opportunity. com or Income.com or Traffic Secrets – any product John Reese offers – you judge it on John Reese, and its glory or shadow always falls on John Reese.

As it does and will with you.

So no matter what you call your ‘brand’ in this small intimate world of the Internet – what is studied and evaluated along with your product or content or ‘stuff’ is you. They are connected.Permanently.

Ok -so this Value thing…?

Your”brand” will reflect you whatever you do. If you are a sloppy kind of individual, don’t sell super efficient – even if its good, eventually it will be deemed suspect because you will be seen as…sloppy. (nothing wrong with sloppy – my Dog is sloppy)

Value is not (despite the bean counting analytical world we live in) is this case is not a quantity – its a quality.

And you cant get Value out of something that has no value.

So understand your value. Your Value.

You think you have little or no value? – Really. Compared to who or what?

The Internet Gurus are smarter and richer than you? Are they. Well they have more money. But money isn’t a measure of human value. Its a measure of this commodity -today.

If you are reading this – it means there is a computer in you life, it means you know how to find websites, it means you have acquired valuable skills – reading, browsing the Internet, searching for ideas and meaning. Identifying trends, looking for trends.Looking for an edge, a market a niche. It means you are trying to make something work for yourself other than the menial tasks of a job.

That is value. High value.

It means (like it or nor) you are a dreamer – you believe in possibilities. It means you are a Doer, you believe in potentials.

You have high high value.

Plus it means your are alive, you are a human being.

That means , in this constricted material world we inhabit, you have the greatest potential of all living things. You could change a world. You could change a life. You can offer love. You can receive love. You can learn, you can produce change. You can create and give life.

That is amazing.Isn’t it?

You ( and I) are as they say – priceless.

Even if you think you aren’t – in this case thinking is not a true result. No matter what you think of yourself – you are of the highest value, in this world. Not higher than another. Equal, in value. To anyone. Everyone.

Remember that – and put all that ‘value’ that human potential into your business, your family, the love of your life, all of it. Value is like a digital concept. You can give and give and give – but you still have the original. You cannot lose value.

Offer the best of yourself to the ‘marketplace’. Let the market download as much of that value as they can. You keep the original
