The Greatest Resource
What is a resource and how do we value it? I would imagine that most people will immediately think of the natural resources – gold, oil, trees, water, and a whole host of others. The value of those minerals is in direct to proportion to supply and demand in the world economy. People dream of finding that ‘lost mine’ or new oil reserves.
The question does need to be asked, what is the greatest resource? If you were to consider all the resources available on this planet, and maybe in the universe, which one would rank number one? Many would want to check the latest stock market values before choosing. But do dollars dictate the most valuable resource?
Let’s take this to another level of thinking. What makes any of the resources listed on the New York Stock Exchange or any of the trading markets of the world of any value? Why does oil have any value? Who gave it value?
The incredible resource is people. People have the awesome ability of creativity. What is creativity and why is it important? Creativity can be defined as “the making of something new, or the rearranging of something old.” It has been estimated that the human mind is probably infinite in its creative capacity.

Lets think about that further.
If value means money (which it doesn’t) how much is your imagination worth? Well more than the entire money supply of the planet – because its our imaginations that created trade and the medium of money and everything else that has ‘value’ that we use as trade.
You say – we didn’t create gold – and thats valuable, we didn’t create oil.Thats very valuable. Isnt it?
Yes – because we created the value through our thinking. Oil is of no use to birds, gold has no value to ants. WE decided to give it value. Because we could use it. Because we could think up ways to use it. Our minds, yours and mine are the ultimate value card.
When did we loose this knowledge that we are the most valuable resource?
Well when did we , as a species, as a whole, ever know it?I don’t think we ever did
Only individuals, leaders we call them, realize it.
We can all realize our value, but many of us carry a lot of baggage and sometime its hard to drop the baggage and walk out free and clean.
But we can, we are allowed, it is available.
Your value, my value, is beyond measure (not in some spiritual sense- but in that too) because whatever we place value in, money, gold, minerals , property, remember WE place the value, and it is because WE HAVE SO MUCH VALUE that the ‘things ‘ have value.
Our value makes money or gold have value. Our inherent value – which we give a little of to these ‘things’. If we had no built in value – we would have none to give, and we would see the world as valueless.
We are the ultimate resource (for ourselves) We have all the value
So , you can, you are allowed, it is available – step up and claim it.
