id="top" />You can not throw up a blog and think it will make you easy money. Sure that’s all that blogging looks like on the surface but the truth is that blogging is more involved than that. Online marketers are incorporating blogs everyday because they realize the future benefits that it will bring to their customers and income. Blogging is low maintenance but does requires you to update it every once in a while; with the right knowledge you can cash-in with minimum effort. Here are a few hints for you to use to help your blog be more successful.

Your blog must have an RSS Feed. Believe it or not, RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication.” Most blogs come standard with feeds; even if they didn’t they are easy to install. You can choose to simply use the feed already associated with your blog or use one of the syndication tools to set up your own. If you are planning to use a different RSS Feed besides the want that your blog is equipped with then it would be a good idea to consider creating one by Google’s RSS Feed system, Feedburner.

An RSS Feed is very convenient for your reader because it allows them to stay up to speed with your blog without having to visit. Instead, they get notified through their chosen feed reader that you have posted and they can read your posts at their leisure.

Plan your posting topics in advance. Don’t make deciding on topics more difficult than it needs to be. If you want to come up with topics to write about, start off by listing whatever you can think of that relates to your blog. If, for example, you had a blog about travel, you could make a list of different destinations, the best ways to get there, where to stay, what to do, etc; each of these lists would give you topics and sub-topics and you would soon have blog material that could last you for a long time. If your niche is about making money online, you could write a post about each of the methods that you have used to bring in money online. The more you get used to posting, the easier it will be to come up with posting topics.

Send an e-mail to people who leave comments on your site. The easiest way to do this is to have a service or program that does it automatically after a comment is posted to your blog. A better option, however, is to send a quick and personal note to your commenters. A You’ll need to choose a theme for your blog, which can be a lot of fun. If you want a custom theme for your blog, there are plenty of companies happy to charge you a fee to create one for you. If you prefer to get your blog started completely free, you’re able to choose between millions of free themes available for download.

With so many free themes and templates to choose from, you’re sure to find something that suits you easily. If you know html or css coding you could even download one of those free themes and change the code so that it looks custom built.

Some marketers prefer their blogs to have their own domain names. However, it’s possible to just add your blog to an existing site via a sub-domain. This gives you the benefit of being able to associate your existing products with your blog and it saves you money on the cost of buying a new domain name. However, if you wish to blog across more than one niche, it may become worthwhile to invest in a new domain name so each blog has its own identity.
Blogging, started out in 1994 as random musings by a handful of internet users who considered them noweigh more than online diaries.

Not anymore. Blogging is not only commonplace but it can also be a key component in online business success. Why has it give way such a phenomenon?

Blogs are easy to set up and use. Also unlike traditional website building, blogs require no technical expertise which means no fooling around with HTML code and the like. But more than anything blogging gives people a voice to be heard. You can post some thoughts on any subject you wish and instantly have a worldwide audience to read it. If they agree or disagree they can let you know it by providing glosss on your blog. Not only is this more interactive that the traditional website but search engines look at comments on your blog as fresh capacity?

However like everything else in life, there is a flip side.

To make blogging work for you there are some things you need to keep in mind.

1. Respect for Your Audience You want as many people in your targeted niche (and beyond) to check out your blog so do your best to avoid offending them. For instance you may have a blog about politics. This is a good way to attract an audience and have spirited discussions and debates. The key is to make sure that you don’t cross the line. It’s easy in a politically charged atmosphere to let your emotions get the rupture of you. As the person who runs the blog you must keep a check on what’s occurrence. Don’t let a first-class debate collapse into name-calling and verbal abuse. By losing control of their emotions and or their comment board, a number of bloggers have wound up losing a likely loyal audience.

2. The Over Design There are many blog layouts to choose from but do not overdo it. Your priority should always be to provide good unique content to your audience. The blog design should complement your writing not contend with it. Your text should also be clearly readable. Don’t put your content on a background that’s going to strain the eyes of your blog visitors. If you want to experiment fine but you can never go wrong by get going out with a basic design.

3. Where Have You Been? Blogging is easy but one thing that separates a good blog from the rest of the pack is how often you post information on your blog. You may have been on a couple of discussion forums and heard people say they do not post to their blog if they have nothing to say. That’s all well and good but what predictably happens is the amount of time between having something to say gets yearner and longer. They start out with great enthusiasm and post daily, than every few days, followed by once a week which then turns into a couple times a month. This is not going to work. People want information. You should post at least triad times a week. Write the content yourself or borrow it from others (just make sure to give them credit). You can write a short blurb about an article you saw online and then give the link to your readers so they can check it out. The point is to not let your blog sit idle for long periods of time. That’s a good way to lose an audience hungry for information. It also doesn’t help you with the search engines which love blogs that update frequently. Since the majority of your internet traffic will come from places like the Google, Yahoo and MSN it’s best to give them what they want.

Blogging is a phenomenon that will keep back to grow. While it’s effortless to set up and operate never lose sight of the fact that you must respect your audience first while giving them quality frequently updated content in an easy to read format. receive to the world of blogging. Enjoy the ride.

The Great Imbalance in Blogging by Melvin Dichoso

They say those who were the first ones to do blogging are the lucky ones. Why? They make the most money, they get the most traction, they reap the best benefits. Almost a decade now since blogging started, nothing has changed that much. The rich grows richer and continues to thrive while those who were getting started never get past the startup stage.

I’d tell you what, I totally don’t agree with it. Im not rich, but I make good money and most people don’t. The equation has been still the same, 10% of bloggers make money, the rest don’t. Simple reason? There’s a big imbalance that’s happening right now. Let me explain it.

Guys like John Chow, Shoemoney and some others make good chunk of income through direct ad sales. And because of that, a lot of bloggers jumped into that without really having an idea of what to expect. You see the ratio is like for every 10,000 blogger selling space, there’s only 15 advertisers willing to shed money using blog advertising. Get my point?

Just the same as the already over AdSense Era. Some people revealed they earned good money by just copy pasting codes and poof. It’s been rehashed over and over and so basically what happened was it just became saturated. The guys who were making good with AdSense still make good up to now, while most are now disappointed because AdSense didn’t meet their expectation.

What Now?

We probably all heard the saying “Nothing is permanent”. In blogging, the things that worked about 2-3 years ago are probably obsolete by now. So too late to profit from blogging? Definitely not! The rules of the game is just simple! Destroy all those bloggers that are doing the same thing. Rise above the over saturated market with something unique. Take this, if everyone’s trying to make money from ads then why not go away from it and try different things? How about launching your own info product or maybe useful premium tools that would cater a certain market? Membership sites are still not dead too!

You see, there’s an unlimited option really. People make money because they think differently, they prefer to be discrete from the majority and more importantly they utilize it to their own advantage. Never be afraid to try out different schemes, different monetization models. After all, it’s not rocket science. Nothing in this world is rocket science I guess.

This post is guest blogged by Melvin Dichoso. Melvin is a cool teenager who’s been running several online businesses through websites and blogs since 2007. In 2008 he started this blog, MelvinBlog.com, to share all his learnings (and ramblings) from the internet marketing world and entrepreneurship in general.
<div
