/> Yes it has.

And that was about getting your mind right, sometimes called motivation and it is a wonderful thing, for a day or so – but no-one achieves any form of success because they watched a video or – (hard to believe) just because they saw a Tony Robbins video.

There also has to be a reason, a method and a dream, and a work plan that can be harnessed to the motivation.
‘The Secret’ offered different ways of believing – and belief is everything, yes – but not random motivation. First there has to be a thing you want to achieve, a dream, a goal, a reason -and then that dream and that goal needs fuel, and the fuel is belief.

Motivation alone does nothing other than produce adrenaline.

If you just think it would be cool’ to be successful in say, the Internet Marketing field, that’s ‘nice’. It’s not powerful, it’s not demanding, and it’s not enough. But if you want to ‘own’ a particular niche in Internet Marketing, and you are bound and determined to be the best part of that niche – that is powerful, that will drive you forward.

Motivation, ‘secret strategies” and ‘automatic guaranteed success software’- are great marketing pitches, but they do nothing, and produce nothing. No-one, ever (let me repeat) no-one ever, became successful because he or she was mindlessly motivated, or found a secret no-one else had. No-one has ever – ever- become successful on any form of auto-pilot.

Success is achievement – and achievement takes dedication, work, and applied enthusiasm. And it takes time.

Think of athletes, at say, the Olympics – are they motivating themselves there? Yes of course.
Are they self-talking and focusing to get into some form of the ‘Zone’? Yes

Is that their secret? -No.

The Olympics is the culmination of at least, at least, 10 years of training and effort and sweat and doing things when you didn’t want to, and when you hurt and when you were sick and when you didn’t believe in any fiber of your being that you could achieve anything. The Olympics is the stage show – but the effort is always behind stage, off stage.

Much like a speaker at a Success or Internet Conference -they don’t create success on stage. The work and the success is in the years of work and dedicated effort that put them there, on that stage, the work you don’t see. The work you have to do, when no-one is watching, when there is no applause.

Success is achievement and achievement is work.

No-one likes work, everyone like achievement – so what is going to get you through the work, the non-stop, endless work to get to the achievement?

Motivation? Certainly.
Secrets? Yes – if you believe in secrets enough that they motivate you.
Effort – yes but directed effort.
Enthusiasm? Yes – but never just enthusiasm alone.

What keeps all these things together through the failures and the ups and the downs?

Your strong belief that you want the thing you want. That is called the dream. A dream you believe you can ‘own’.

Everyone at the Olympics is there to win, but there is only one winner in any event – so are the other dreams false – should they have never dreamed? Are all the rest losers?

Now that is language no ‘winner’ ever speaks, because to achieve you need focus, and the dream is the focus.

If you have trained for 10 years to win the 100 meter or 500 meter race, and you don’t, that year, you either go on to the next Olympics, wiser and stronger or if time has run out you stop – but you know, you absolutely know, those 10 years were the most important 10 years of your life – when you were focused, and rich in energy and belief and achieved something less than 0.1% of the world ever achieves. You went to the Olympics.

Having a dream is the ultimate secret. The dream and an absolute committed belief that – this particular dream – you own.

The rest is all work.
And attitude.
And enthusiasm.

Success is never accidental – and that’s no secret.

“I remember one time I was driving through e a s t e r n Arizona and I saw one of those giant earth-moving machines roaring along the road with what looked like 30 tons of dirt in it – a tremendous, incredible machine – and there was a little man perched way up on top with the wheel in his hands, guiding it. As I drove along I was struck by the similarity of that machine to the human mind. Just suppose you’re sitting at the controls of such a vast source of energy. Are you going to sit back and fold your arms and let it run itself into a ditch? Or are you going to keep both hands firmly on the wheel and control and direct this power to a specific, worthwhile purpose? It’s up to you. You’re in the driver’s seat. You see, the very law that gives us success is a double-edged sword. We must control our thinking. The same rule that can lead people to lives of success, wealth, happiness, and all the things they ever dreamed of – that very same law can lead them into the gutter. It’s all in how they use it… for good or for bad. That is The Strangest Secret!”<br

If you do not buy their product now, you will miss the party, your business will falter and fail – there are too many pieces moving – you need to but their high priced service – you need to be following the big boys.

Much as I admire the skill of these marketers as marketers – you have to admit it’s a little manipulative.

Is the Internet changing? –Of course.

Will Google change how it does ‘search ‘? – Of course.

Will Google Plus affect ‘search’? – Good bet

Are the big companies trying to control the Internet? – Of Course- the big companies are always trying to control the marketplace. But that is no reason to run and hide.

Here’s what you should be asking.

In 2012 -will you be an entrepreneur or a proprietor as Jay Abrahams says. That is a person who has a business, a business like any other business – or a person who does something new with business –offers a higher value result to the question asked by his or her customers.

Will you be just another person in business, struggling, or realize as Seth Godin has been saying that in this maelstrom of digital noise – you have to command attention, no sorry – earn attention. You have to offer enough value and energy and awareness and gratitude and sheer ‘product’ to your customers that you create a space for yourself in the world of commerce. You create in fact your own audience, your own customer base, followers who pay attention to what you do – not because you are shouting the loudest, but because you have in fact listened the hardest to what is being asked, and then answered with the best results. You have created your own marketplace that is loyal to you because you are loyal to it

Will you be just another marketer, as Frank Kern says in his 2012 Internet Address or someone who decides to be in and stay in the results business? No-one markets and makes money – entrepreneurs sell, because that’s where there is money and a return on your business efforts. Of course we produce or offer a product that people buy. They buy because you offer answers to the questions they are asking. They, the end user, want a certain result or consequence – they want help. And when you give then that – precisely and perfectly – you are a successful entrepreneur.

Your market is asking a question – are you answering it – precisely? Are you answering it with a result – that is your product or service- that transforms the customer? Does your product mean more to them than the dollars they give you back in return?

In 2012 you will not be making money – no business person MAKES money. You will have to EARN money. Be aware -there is no shortage of money – it’s just a question of whose hands it flows into. And when you are dealing with the public, the consumer at large it’s the person that answers their questions the best, and repeatedly that the money goes to

In 2012 it’s the entrepreneur that is passionate about the question their market is asking that will win. It’s the change that you offer that is important not the product. Products may come and go but the entrepreneur that stays in the hunt always adjusting their instruments of change and value. Instruments of change for the better, in their chosen marketplace

In 2012 regardless of what Google does or ‘search’ does – the entrepreneur who has built their own marketplace that has their own customer base that is loyal – will win.

In 2012 the entrepreneur that believes in their ‘list’, their marketplace, believe what they offer is transformational, believe their product, without doubt, is something that can change lives – that entrepreneur wins it all.

“The true entrepreneur is willing,
eager to perceive change as a huge opportunity, rather than a threat or
deterrent. He/she must have built-in commitment, to constantly improve
their performance – on many different “fronts.”

“While the proprietor cowers from change, fears change, grovels and
steeps themselves deep in the status quo… the true entrepreneur is
ALWAYS excited, committed, continuously searching for new innovation.
Real entrepreneurs REACH for innovation. They work hard to discover, uncover,
define, refine and initiate innovation. “ Jay Abrahams

What is the best way to learn a language? Immerse yourself, go to the country and stay with a family or acquaintance who does not speak your language. Pure immersion. You will learn the language in about three months – by association. And it has nothing to do whether you are ‘good’ at languages or not. Association or immersion is how we are wired to learn

Between the time of birth and three years -we learn more than at any other times in our lives. Among other things for instance, we learn to walk talk and become aware of the fact there is something other than us, something called the world. If a two year olds parents are multilingual so is that child. A child is not good or bad at languages – they just absorb the language. By association

The power of association is the strongest teaching we know. If you hang around people who are criminals – unless and until you leave that circle – you will become a criminal. If you associate with musicians – you will become a musician. And here’s a scarier thing – if you associate only with people who earn about $20,000 a year – you will make about $20,00 a year. By the same token, if you hang around people who make $100,000 a year – you will make about $100,000 a year. We become who we associate with.

So the guaranteed way to success is to associate with successful people.

However here is the big secret to that obvious fact, or at least the big caveat most people do not think about. First of all be very clear as to what success means to you. A lot of wealthy people are not necessarily successful in the rest of their lives, and certainly not all wealthy people are happy. Also be aware many wealthy people have inherited their wealth, that is they have not created it themselves, it had been passed on or handed to them. Wealth does not necessarily mean success, and wealth certainly does not automatically mean a life that prospers.

So the big secret, the step people forget to do? Be very clear about what success means to you. Define it in your own terms. And, I think, one of the best ways to do this is to worry less about the money and more about the lifestyle you wish to achieve. In the end money is only a medium of exchange. What do you want your money to create for you: houses, cars, all the things that glitter, freedom, control of your time, stress free living? What is it, exactly and precisely, you are looking for?

Once you have defined success in your own terms, seek out people who have created that lifestyle with their own businesses, by their own hands. Ideally seek out successful entrepreneurs in the field you have chosen, but that is not as vital as seeking our people who have created the lifestyle you are looking for. Seek them out and be around them as much as you can.

Most businesses have seminars, live meetings, where the people in that industry can get together and learn and network. Go to as many of these live events as you can, invest the time to find those that are successful, talk to them introduce yourself, watch what they do, and how they handle themselves, and learn what they know.

The guaranteed way to success in any field is to define what success means to you, and then find people who have that success and then learn from them. And you learn from them by as much as possible, being in their circle, even if that can only happen at seminars or live events. However you can arrange it (without stalking them, of course), associate with them and who they associate with. Find out if there is any way perhaps you can help them, because in the end, their association will lift you, to your success

ut marketing his offline program – online- watch here)

However its true – Times they are (as usual a changing)

Ed Dale – Oct 18th: -

I’ve been thinking deeply about the direction of online business and the most crucial element of all, how we get traffic.

When it comes down to it, there are only 3 ways you can get people to see your stuff.

You can drive traffic to your site from the organic listings in search engines such as Google.

You can buy traffic. Google pay per click and Facebook demographic advertising, along with banner advertising, list buying and more exotic techniques such as re-targeting all fall into this category.

You become a market leader. You become one of the top 20 influences in your market. Easy!…

It seems to me, there are 3 major factors combining to create one of the largest inflection points we’ve seen in years in our business.

(Look at me – I used the phrase ‘inflection point’)

ECONOMIC CONDITIONS

The cost of effective traffic has been going north at a rapid rate. Notice I said “effective” traffic. As more and more of the traditional advertising spend for large corporation’s gets poured in to online advertising it makes it harder and more expensive for us entrepreneurs to compete.

This is particularly true, when you’re starting out. The average cost of a phrase test with pay per click advertising is between $200 and $400. I remember, with some fondness, when a phrase test would cost $20, way back in the good old days of 2004.

The other economic condition we cannot ignore, is the current global environment. In many parts of the world people are struggling right now and their disposable income is not what was.

This is both a threat and an opportunity.

I remember Gary Halbert telling me about the “little blue books”. While I was researching my current theories I decided to hunt down what the “little blue books” were all about.

For 10 cents, you would get a pamphlet stylebook covering everything from stories by famous authors such as H.G.Wells, guides on how to win competitions and for the time, quite thought-provoking topics such as atheism and homosexuality.

During the depression, these little blue books were the equivalent of today’s Internet. A little respite, in the overall economic devastation of the late 20s and early 30s.

At 10 cents apiece, E.Haldeman-Julius sold $15 million worth of these books (that’s $193 million in today’s money)

Right now, we’re seeing extraordinary sales for apps, I think this is the equivalent of the “little blue book”. For $.99 we get a bit of respite and a little bit of enjoyment.

It’s no coincidence coffee sales also, are extremely strong.

It’s these little pleasures which delight and brighten our Day that seem to be driving markets.

You might have noticed we have been experimenting with different price points as well. More on that later.

THE SOCIAL PROBLEM

If you add up all the information collected from the beginning of time to 2003, Eric Schmidt (Googles Chairman) has been quoted as saying the search giant collects that amount of information every 2 days!

When I grew up, I lived in a tiny country town that had two TV stations, one radio station and one newspaper. If it wasn’t for the lifeline of Judge Dredd comics and PC Magazine I’m not sure where I would’ve ended up!

Today, we are bombarded with an almost dizzying array of messages. I believe the success of Facebook is in large part due to its ability to filter out information for the average person so they only receive interesting stuff from people they know.

E-mail delivery and open rates have been declining and I don’t see the trend changing.

As marketers, we have been able to take each of these technologies and exploited “arbitrage” type situations – where for a period of time we could exploit a new technique or technology.

If users are fleeing the traditional Internet of e-mail and web browsing and finding safe haven inside of Facebook and their smartphone (I love you Siri!) where they have much more control of the information they receive I for one believe we need to change and take it into account.

DUNBAR’s NUMBER

It’s worth taking a look at Wikipedia to read about Dunbar’s number. His contention, is any one human being has the capacity to maintain approximately 150 relationships and in early society villages tended to break up once they reached around the 150 figure.

What’s remarkable, is we are seeing the same phenomena online with Joe and Jane Smith (average people, not crazy people like you and I) not being able to maintain more than about 150 friends.

In this new world, the power of recommendation is becoming dominant. Joe and Jane Smith are inundated. They have no choice but to rely heavily on the recommendations of friends and family (not to mention the recommendations of friendly Australians who they follow online :–))

The competition for attention is becoming crazy, what hope has someone new to a market to try and grab some of that attention?

The great news is, there is a repeatable, step-by-step process that will allow anybody to become a respected influencer and in any market inside 12 months.

TECHNOLOGY

I really feel for Google (stop it, I really do!), The cornerstone of the entire search algorithm is breaking down and they know it.

Think about it, the only people creating backlinks today are you, me and the digerati. It’s the tiniest percentage of people on the Internet. Hardly the perfect indicator of what is relevant anymore. For 13 years, backlinks have been everything, today, they still are.

But the days of backlink dominance are coming to a swift end.

I think this is a good thing.

As Leslie Rhode pointed out in a recent conference, a class of 14-year-old girls in high school will create more links in a week than were created on the Internet in 1994.

Joe and Jane Smith do not blog.

What they do do is update their Facebook status, tweet and slap the +1 and like buttons with gay abandon.

Google can’t ignore these new social indicators. They’ve said so themselves.

What gets Joe and Jane Smith to punch the like button?

Content that matters, content that’s funny, content that has a point of view and most importantly, content they want to receive!

To ignore this new reality, to both Google and ourselves, would be suicide.

THERE IS A BRIGHT SIDE

Never before, has there been so many ways to build an audience and have an influence.

Before I go on, let me point out there are 2 kinds of influence, both equally effective.

You can be a “front of the camera” influence, someone who is comfortable with putting their own point of view and leading from the front.

You can also be a “behind-the-scenes” influencer, someone who uses the influence in a non-public way.

You also have the power to choose your communication tool. There are so many ways to build an audience now with little expense and perhaps even more importantly little skill. Being shy is no longer an excuse.

Out there just waiting for you is a message and a medium. The trick, is to figure out both. The fortunate thing is there is a step-by-step process for this to.

I’m actually dictating this blog post, on my new iPhone 4S.

I shot some video yesterday on my iPhone. The quality of the video would have required a camera costing $6,000 only six years ago!

In the old days (2004!), The big bottleneck and the hardest thing to do was produce content. It was expensive, time-consuming and required real expertise. Traffic, was easy as paying $.05 a click and being able to fill out an online form.

Today, producing high-quality content has never been easier or cheaper. Sadly, traffic has become the expensive bottleneck.

For the past 3 years, I have been shaping the idea of “Market Leadership”.

I think it’s an idea come of age.

In an online landscape where traffic is getting harder and for many existing techniques – the writing is on the wall. We need a 3rd way.

I’m guessing you want to be really proud of what you’re producing online, you want to stand behind it 100%, unfortunately some of the techniques that I’ve had to use in the past have not stood up that test.

Don’t get me wrong, the fundamentals have not changed! If you have a list of 100,000 people in your market that love what you do, you’re going to have to be a monumental screwup not to make a decent living!

If you’re one of the top 20 most influential people in your marketplace, again, you’re going have to be pretty tragic to not make a decent living.

So! All we need to do, is become one of the top 20 most influential people in a marketplace!

Ultimate Information Product Creation Guide – just released – here

1) People on the Internet want Info. The Internet is about ‘search’; – and search is 100% about information. Some of it is – ‘where is this location?’ and ‘what time is the movie?’ – but most of it is – “how do I do”…something, The biggest search term is “how to”. The next biggest is “information on…”
Information makes the Internet flow. If people want info – there must be a supply provided.

2) The fallacy that information is always in the hands of the few, the PhD’s the professors, the university scholars or the big organizations who ‘know this stuff’. Its not true and never been true. Think of all the courses and classes at community centres, all the self published books and manuals that litter the landscape. The small hobbyist magazines, and pamphlets. These are people with skills and knowledge , probably no PhD probably not a university professor. Just someone with a particular knowledge or skill. The challenge pre internet was to find the market that wanted that particular, perhaps minor, perhaps not, piece of information.

3) With the Internet whatever it is you have a specific knowledge of – someone somewhere is looking for that information.

4) But you say –“All the niche markets are full, all the info products have been made, everybody is just repeating themselves – which is true and not true. In the LARGE scheme of things, there is nothing new ever. But that doesn’t mean it has been said everyway possible, explained in all the best ways, or more importantly that information has not been conveyed in your particular voice
In the BIG niches – health, (especially penis health it seems) diet, dating and how to make money on the internet – it is the same old same old, until it’s not. Until someone comes a long with a different way of packing the info, or a different slant, or an appeal to a particular segment – how to date poodles for instance , or how to diet using only products from Antarctica (Joking don’t try these at home)

5) A typical ‘report’ for the internet , especially video as that is currently the rage – 5 minutes of how great this info is, 5 minutes of this is going to do wonders for your lifestyle, 5 minutes of when you learn these key secrets you will be amazed at how easy it is, 5 minutes of this is how this changed the authors life, and how he came to learn it,5 minutes of here is step 1, 5 garbled minutes of – domain names, website, wordpress, seo affiliate marketing JV partners, traffic, and finally -5 minutes of now you know how you are benefiting – and how I benefited, again.
A 35 minute video – and at the end of which you’re not sure if there was something there or not.

6) If you are going to give information, as a marketable item – lay it out logically, lay it out immediately so its easily accessible, and don’t pad to make it seem Bigger. If the information is ‘true’ that’s all that matters. (See a typical Seth Godin blog post- for the clarity and simplicity eg-
http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2011/08/more-or-less.html

7) NOW HERE”S the BIG ONE- you HAVE something you have done or learned that has value to others. Now maybe not a lot of others, maybe not life changing – but something, and the internet is a marketplace of information seekers.

8) Alright maybe you know something about diet or health, nothing earthshattering, maybe just some common sense stuff that works for you – well lay it out. Yes lots of health advice out there – but not the way you describe it, or have experienced it. Because you are unique, we are all in our experiences unique.

9) Does that mean you are guaranteed to make money with every piece of drivel you cough up? (we all cough up drivel once in a while) – No.
But it does mean – if you are ‘true’ with the information, and express it in your voice, it will be unique and valuable. If its valuable to many – you can make money. If valuable to a few – you will have provided a service

10) Where’s the downside – the Internet is largely a free entry marketplace. There is nothing else bigger. There’s no middle men. It only seeks information. You, despite yourself have information- so start -Write some stuff down, stuff you have an interest in, stuff you find fascinating, a hobby, a sport, a calling, an area you may have researched and were never able to follow up on, but you have the information.

11) There may not be a market? Or if there is a market, the question is how big, and do they want to pay?

12) But let me repeat there is a market – its just a question of how big, and are they willing to pay anything.

When was the last time – just who you are could possibly produce a business?

Internet Marketing is as complicated and hard as you want it to be.(like anything)

But if you want the nutshell view

If you want the grand Overview

Two Words: – Search and Value

Its all about Search

The internet is the largest easy access marketplace in the world. the Internet is where everybody is. All the ones who want to buy things you may have, and all the ones who dont. And they find you and your product through – SEARCH.

The inhabitants of the internet – and you and me, find stuff 96% through search. Yes there are bookmarks and Opera and Firefox Speed dial etc – but because of Google’s relentless work on the ‘speed’ of its returns for search – its quicker to use search. Its quicker to use search than to type in a URL – so we use that search box. Mostly Google, and a little Bing.

So that’s where the internet marketer must position him/herself. On the other side of that search. Whether with pay per click ads or SEO or whatever else you can think of. Be on the other side of that search query. Then your market finds you – and only finds you through search returns.

But think about this – this is the only marketing experience where you are trying to catch the consumer as they rush by searching for things you have (they rush by because they dont know you have that thing).

Email marketing is still a little bit of ‘pushing’ sales to end users “I know you kind of like this kind of thing so here’s a deal…”

Search is where they are searching for something, and you (hopefully) have that thing, or something close – and you have to get in their way

In all other marketing you have to 1) Find the market and then 2) push to that market.

Here they find you- you just have to be ready, and set up to receive

Remember its all about search. Your market is looking for you. Be visible.

And its all about search on facebook and YouTube too.

Did I mention – its all about SEARCH. We are conditioned to use search for everything. So – be ready, and be visible.

VALUE

The trick to all marketing is to offer more value than you are asking as a price. Your product, the thing they are looking for, the thing that you are offering should also give back more value than they pay. Then you are a contributor, not just a taker of money. Then you make a lot of money, have large email lists that want to buy what you have to offer, and you sleep well at night (and have lots of Facebook friends of course)

On the Internet things for free is an expectation and a given. People search for free information, look for free videos, and free music.

However we will pay for Great information that we really need, music we really like (iTunes is the largest distributor of music on the planet…iTunes or Walmart – its one of them, and both charge money)

And we will buy ‘hard copy things’ Products, ebooks, downloadable files we can print and save etc.

But everyone likes a gift

So ideally on your website, offer a gift. Not a trinket, a gift, something that has value. Something that we would normally pay for.
For instance if you are a Model railroading site – offer a book of layouts for free, or how to create great landscapes or roads of track beds or…(actually I don’t know much about model railroading – so if you do, you get the picture)
If you re offering information on vegetable gardening – let your visitors have a free guide with maybe the five best ideas or tips you have ever come across…And so on

A gift with value.

Your customers, visitors clients, fellow enthusiasts will love that, and come back for more, and spread the word.

Everyone loves a gift. Just make sure it has true value. We can all spot trash

(extract from<a

Money was flowing like wine and over 100,000,000 new Websites sprung up almost overnight. Then IT happened.

PHASE 3: Regulation/Standardization By 2004, Google set the standard, both in terms of traffic generation (with their search engine), and in their online advertising model (Google AdWords). This quickly led to the next phase.

PHASE 4: Consolidation In this stage, most of the traffic, money, users, etc…are sucked up by the key players either through acquisition or extermination. “Wal-Marts of the Internet” begin to emerge.

Consider this:

In 2001, the Top 10 Websites in the world controlled 31% of all Internet traffic.

By 2006 that number jumped to 40%. In 2010 the Big 10 accounted for 72% of ALL the traffic.

For 2012, the Top 10’s estimated share is 82 – 85%, leaving ordinary “Mom and Pops” to fight for the scraps.

And again, this isn’t isolated to the Web. All technologies eventually reach the consolidation phase.

When railroads started in the 1800’s, 186 train companies sold stock in public offerings. But in 50 years there were just 6 real railroads. That’s 97% consolidation.

When AT&T’s patent on the telephone expired in 1894, 6000 new phone companies were formed in less than a YEAR. None survived.

When the rotary printing press was invented every “po-dunk” town had 20+ newspapers. Today they have one (at most) and that one’s on life support.

How about one more example just to drive the point home?

At one time the US ALONE had over 100 auto makers! Now there are 2 ½.

Are you starting to get it?

This is HISTORY and HISTORY never lies.

More recently, Wal-Mart & Home Depot CRUSHED traditional main street stores.

Cell phones have made land lines obsolete.

Cable has all but destroyed network TV.

Salad in a bag now outsells LETTUCE.

Coffee is $4 a cup and EVERYWHERE.

And GPS systems have replaced paper maps forever.

This is the NATURAL path of business development.

It NEVER Waivers…NEVER!

The only difference with the web is SPEED. The web has completed the 4 cycles in around 10 years when it took some of these innovations decades.

But remember, there is a 5th phase – INNOVATION!!

Cars replaced the horse, radio CRUSHED newspapers, TV beat radio and eventually SOMETHING will beat the Web. In fact, I would argue that the process has already begun.

PHASE 5: Innovation Younger users are bored with traditional websites. Apps are replacing browsers, texts are replacing email, Facebook is replacing Google and mobile is replacing traditional Internet traffic.

So what Phase is the Web in today? I happen to believe it’s stuck in “limbo” between Phase 4 and Phase 5. Facebook ALONE is an innovation against a Google-controlled web, and it has more users today than the ENTIRE web had when I began online!!

Mobile MAY replace the web, Apps will probably replace software, credit cards will soon be embedded into your cell phone (heck, they already are in Europe.)

This IS all happening and you can’t stop it, but you can profit from it if you take your head out of the sand.

So where does this leave you? What are you supposed to do with this information?

Well for starters…

If you haven’t yet started an online business, GOOD FOR YOU!

I’m usually the guy who’s encouraging people to take action, but in this case I think it’s good that you haven’t gotten started. I can 100% guarantee you that if you attempt an internet marketing venture TODAY using advice just 12-24 months old (which is probably all you have access to), you are DOOMED to fail!

That may sound harsh, but it’s the absolute TRUTH!

Like I said at the outset of this letter, EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED!

If you’re planning to start an online business, you need to make sure your model, systems and strategies will all work within a Phase 4 (Consolidation) environment, while at the same time preparing for the next innovations (i.e. mobile, apps, social, etc.). And if you’re currently running an online business and growth has stalled out, now you know why!!

But here’s the bad news. 99% of the books and products related to online marketing are out of date and useless. And in this business, old information and bad information is truly DANGEROUS.

And the worst part is, the so-called “gurus” hawking this crap have either never made money online, or they made their money back in Phase 2 (the wild, wild west phase when everything was easy) and their tactics and strategies don’t apply in a Phase 4 and Phase 5 world!

So what CAN you do except just sit there and suddenly realize how screwed you really are?

Allow me to answer that question by telling you what I’m doing to adapt to and capitalize on all these changes.

FIRST, recognize that change (while scary) is actually a GOOD THING!!

Wealth is NEVER destroyed it is only TRANSFERRED. The Great Depression produced more millionaires than the world had ever seen, and I firmly believe this “shift” will create more online millionaires than ever before.

Look, you are about to be on one side or the other of one of the greatest wealth transfers in the history of the Internet. Phase 2 may bring the “easy money”, but Phase 4 (the Consolidation Phase) brings the “BIG MONEY.” And the reason is simple.

There will NOT be as many seats in the “Winners Circle” as there used to be, but since wealth is never destroyed, that simply means the money pile will be split up by fewer people. And I intend to be one of them. How about you?

But all mindset stuff aside…

Here are 2 methods that you should model.

#1) I Sell REAL Stuff Truth is, most people who sell marketing advice ONLY sell marketing advice. I sell EVERYTHING. Here is my short list of Products & Markets:

• Financial Advice

• Trading Software

• Rubber Stamps

• Romance & Dating

• Urban Survival

• Hot Dog Carts

• Importing Advice

• Packaging Equipment

• Fitness Systems

• Bed Bug Killers

• Horse Grooming

• Petting Zoo Kits

• Doggy Daycare Biz-Ops

• Cupcake Boxes

…just to name a few.

#2) I Make My Own Traffic I leverage my partners for traffic and I NEVER depend on favors, luck or the wills and whims of a monopoly like Google.

Here is a list of Traffic and Lead Getting Sources:

• Newsletter Ads

• Sponsored E-Mails

• CPV Traffic

• Trade Associations

• Media Buys

• SEO

• PURL Postcards

• Joint Ventures

• Bounce Back Offers

• Thank You Page Rental

• Social Traffic

• Distributed Content

• Strategic Partnerships

• Lead Sharing

#3) Make sure you Know What People Want

Study your market, listen, ask

<a
