Some things never change.

For instance – energy always IS. No matter what happens energy remains constant. No matter how many wars, black holes, white dwarfs atomic explosions, suns fading and dying, suns being born – energy stays constant. It changes its form – but always is . (Though in terms of infinity, energy maybe is just an experiment that comes and goes – who knows?)

Some things never change. For instance.

Humans will always and have always been greedy, vain, callous, mean, cowardly brave ,liars ,cheats, proud, generous, capable of true love, capable of unbelievable carnage, but most of all -completely self-centered. Hubris is our middle name. Always has been, always will.

You think things are bad now? You think this particular bunch (government, business leaders, Middle east leadership etc) is bad – no worse than the last lot or the ones before them.

There never was a golden age, there will never be a golden future.

Some things never change. For instance.

We will always have a war of some kind, we will always inflict injury and death somewhere. We will always create religion somehow. And because this ego thing we have is clinging and insecure and vain and proud all at once – we are a childish species, always trampling on one another in fear and anger.

Some things never change. For instance.

The individual’s ability to become magnificent. An agent of change, a symbol of hope, a nation builder, a movement creator, an agent of peace, an agent of community and bringer of all things good.

Somethings never change, in your lifetime

The ability to create change around you, for the better. The ability to create inside you; -love, stillness and peace.

No war was fought for a  spiritual reason – what do you kill for spiritual reasons – the spirit?.What land do you take in a spiritual war – Nirvana? Heaven? Who do you rape? – the soul?

Spiritual wars are inside you. Spiritual wars are for you to win.

Some things never change.

In your lifetime, your ability, my ability, our ability, not as a group, but as a single soul to wreak peace and harmony around us.

If we choose.

Some things never change. For us.

We dont live in the past, or the future. We always live Now. This moment.And this moment we create or destroy, as we choose, over and over again.

“But my business I built today, may go away tomorrow – everything is changing so fast, technology, the markets”….but because of our creativity – we can always adjust, or build another business. A business is where you offer value for a return. You cant find value to offer?

GM was/is a large corporation. And lets be honest and clear sighted here – corporations tend to represent all our worst traits and habits, dressed up as business models, or employment benefactors. The Corporation somehow,inevitably, eventually, becomes the worst of us – unfeeling, narrow minded, greedy, desperate, whining and self important.

No-one comes to the U.S to get a job, they want Free Enterprise. No-one come to the U.S to be corporate, they want to be free.

Entrepreneurs on the other hand – the small one or two person driven operation are about opportunity and change. Entrepreneurs never lose, they may stumble but by definition – they get up, because – well – somethings never change. Opportunity for those who seek it.

No matter what nation or tribe you come from, its the individuals who make the difference, not the crowd. Its one person who leads, not the mass. The Middle East and Eastern Europe is full of tribal tension and war – but the tribes can be lead by one person who is inspired. Inspired to anger and hatred (the easy way), or inspired to greatness.

Some things never change. For instance.

Your , my, our, individual ability to love without needing return, to create value in another’s life, to be aware and ignore our ego’s crying out for recognition and justification, and instead have the ability to create space and stillness in our selves and perhaps, maybe, offer it to others. Not by force or teaching, but by example.
